Williams Company recently completed construction of a 517,088-square-foot cold and dry storage warehouse for Sysco Corporation in Plant City, Florida. Situated on a 51-acre greenfield site, the facility is Williams Company’s first new cold distribution project, built under joint contract with Sysco and Sudler Development. The building, constructed with a combination of tilt-wall and insulated metal panels, features a 37-foot clearance height, a centralized ammonia refrigeration plant, and both conventional and automated racking systems. Key operational elements include a vehicle maintenance facility with truck washing bays, 62 loading dock positions, and specialized areas for office, freezer, cooler, and dry storage. Designed for efficiency and scale, the project was successfully delivered in just 14 months, supporting Sysco’s expanding distribution operations in the region.
