Gulf High School
Pasco County School Board
Project Size: 155,000 sqft
Project Location: New Port Richey, FL
Project Architect: Long & Associates Architects / Engineers Inc.
Williams Company Tampa completed building Gulf High School’s state-of-the-art replacement school that continued to enrich the lives of countless students, staff, and members of the New Port Richey community. We employed our decades of expertise to construct the $57 million, 155,000 square foot, 1,700 student-station school while the campus remained fully occupied. The school’s history as the Buccaneers and its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico is celebrated in common areas, featuring a historical timeline wall and pirate ship themes woven throughout, including a compass rose reception area, wood paneling accents, pirate flags, an abundance of natural lighting, large “portholes” for student gathering spaces and a shipwreck themed courtyard that connects the new building with the existing campus. Due to widespread unsuitable soil conditions, the new building was constructed on 852 ductile iron piles. We graciously completed this work through an amazing, proactive staff and were happy to have been chosen to complete this work for the community.
