Celebrating the Completion of the McLaughlin Gymnasium

We’re excited to announce the completion of the new McLaughlin Gymnasium for Polk County Schools! This impressive 28,373-square-foot facility is a transformative addition to the campus, marking a major milestone in McLaughlin’s expansion to accommodate both middle and high school students.

The gymnasium offers state-of-the-art amenities, including locker rooms, a weight room, a training room, and offices. Beyond serving as the hub for McLaughlin’s athletic programs, it also provides a versatile space for school and community events and functions as a hurricane shelter, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.


We’re proud to have contributed to this project and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the students and the community!

ESOP Committee Gains Insight During Target Expansion Visit

Our ESOP Connections Committee had the incredible opportunity to visit one of our Target stores currently under construction! Not only did we bring lunch to the hardworking team on-site, but we also got to dive deep into the construction challenges they’re tackling.

The Target at Vineland Pointe is only a few years old, but with the exceptional revenue that tops the charts nationwide for Target, they decided to expand to provide more offerings to their guests!

From innovative building techniques to overcoming unexpected obstacles, our appreciation for their dedication has only grown. It was an insightful and inspiring day, reinforcing the strong connections and teamwork that make our projects successful.

2023 ESOP Share Value: Waves of Excitement from Our Beachfront Reveal

Who doesn’t love a beach day? Williams Company revealed our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) share value last week by having fun in the sun! Our employees and their families kicked back and enjoyed an exciting beach day, complete with local New Smyrna Beach catered food trucks. The ESOP Communications Committee kept the celebration in our annual theme, “Ride the Wave,” by having everyone write down their guess and stick it on our Williams Company surfboard for a chance to win big. The closest guesses won $1,000, and we had three lucky winners this year! After a brief announcement from our CEO and President on the success of our ESOP, the moment everyone was waiting for arrived when a plane flew by, pulling a banner with our new stock price, revealing that our share value had increased once again!

Our culture is top-notch! We are a 100% employee-owned company, providing each full-time employee with a direct path to ownership of company stock at no cost. This unique structure sets us apart as one of the best places to work!

Celebrating Our Summer 2024 Interns

It’s that bittersweet time of year again! As summer wraps up, we say farewell to our incredible interns who are heading back to school – Cole Ford, Tyler Dunham, Addison Rismiller, Austin Lounsberry, Anand Sharma, and Jena Poorman. Check out what they have been working on all summer! From learning the ropes on-site to contributing to exciting projects, their energy and fresh perspectives have been invaluable. Though they worked hard all summer, we made sure to have plenty of fun too! Our annual Intern Fishing Day and Intern Lake Day were a blast!

We’re grateful for their hard work and enthusiasm and wish them the best of luck in their studies!

Construction Completion of Gulf High School

Founded in 1922, Gulf High School has undergone a complete transformation. Our team constructed a brand-new, state-of-the-art school for the community. Designed by Long & Associates, this modern 155,000-square-foot school accommodates 1,700 students and is accented with concrete, steel, and glass architecture. This summer, we are completing the demolition of the original school to make way for the new bus loop and student parking lot.

The school’s history as the Buccaneers and its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico are celebrated in common areas, featuring a historical timeline wall and woven pirate ship themes. These include a compass rose reception area with a custom Crow’s Nest ceiling and mast feature, wood paneling accents, pirate flags, abundant natural lighting, large “portholes” for student gathering spaces, and a Pirate’s Landing courtyard theme connecting the new building with the existing campus.

This new state-of-the-art facility will continue to enrich the lives of countless students, staff, and New Port Richey community members.

Mark Dunn Promoted to Senior Preconstruction Manager

We are excited to announce Mark Dunn’s promotion to Senior Preconstruction Manager!  Mark has been with Williams since 2015 and was instrumental in estimating and budgeting one of our largest projects to date, The Elysian at Stonefield Apartments in Charlottesville, VA.

Mark has been dedicated to our culture from day one. He is actively involved in our ESOP committee, leads and attends events, and assists with the University of Florida Career Fairs. Recently, he completed the two-year Emerging Leaders Program, building his skills to be a successful leader.

Shane Gabbard Promoted to Assistant Superintendent

We are thrilled to announce that Shane Gabbard has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent! Shane started with us as a Field Engineer in January 2022 and has completed several Target projects on time and with exceptional customer service.

Shane is known for his commitment to his teams and is always willing to step in where needed. His dedication, hard work, and exceptional skills have earned him this well-deserved advancement.

Construction Completion of The Elysian Apartments

We’re thrilled to announce that The Elysian at Stonefield in Charlottesville, VA has reached Substantial Completion! This stylish seven-story apartment complex features 227 units with open layouts, premium finishes, and spacious kitchens. Residents will enjoy fantastic amenities which include a pool, courtyard with a lounge, gym, dog washroom, stunning open spaces, and even a golf simulator.

A huge shoutout to our dedicated project team, subcontractors, and vendors for their incredible work, helping us finish on time and under budget in just under 20-months! Thank you all for making this project a success!
